We are constantly on the lookout for motivated, enthusiastic people who want to set up a society of their own so that our list of Clubs and Societies will continue to grow.
It doesn't matter what you are interested in - Basket Weaving, Chemistry, Chocolate, Yoga or whatever, if you think people will want to share in your enthusiasm then you should think about setting up a Club or Society.
Setting up a Club/Society can be hard work but it is very rewarding and you
will have the full support of UPSU Officers and staff.

Setting-up Procedure: a New Club/Society
Setting up a new club/society may seem a daunting task but it's really just a matter of being enthusiastic and filling in the right forms! If you have any problems the Sports & Societies team is here to help you.
Step 1
Will your society offer something different to those we already have?
Step 2
Get 20 names & NUS numbers of students that would be interested in joining your club/society. These need to include students who would help you run the society when it is set up.
Step 3
You will need to decide on your committee, which must consist of a Chair,
Treasurer, Secretary and Safety Officer.
A committee form, code of conduct, model constitution and your list of signatories must be given in to the Sports & Societies Office.
Step 4
Your proposal will be submitted to the Sports & Societies Committee, who will consider it at the next meeting. At least one member of your new committee must be present to represent you.
Step 5
If your proposal is accepted you and now ready to start running your brand
new club/society - Good Luck!
