NUS Extra discount card!

NUS Extra is the definitive student discount card with a range of exclusive discounts, offers and competitions designed to make student life more exciting, more memorable and more rewarding. All of our discounts are exclusive to NUS Extra cardholders, you won’t be able to access any of these great deals without our little blue card.

What does it cost?

NUS Extra costs just £11, not bad for something that’s going to save you a whole load of cash throughout the year. Part of this sale price goes back to your Students’ Union so by buying a card you’re supporting your Union and ensuring that they have money to plough back into improved services for you.

How can I get an NUS Extra card?

If you still want to buy online - can't get to Pymouth or you are a UPC student - ,(Click here to buy your card) then you will need to take proof of your student status to your Students’ Union in order to collect your card as they will need to verify that you are a current student. The only way we can get the very best deals for you is to ensure that only students get this special little card, so that’s why we do this check.

To get your NUS card by post..

 
We know that it's not always convenient for UPC students to come to the main sites to pick up something like your NUS card. We do come out and about to visit colleges (particularly during the first term), but to make it easier for you to get your NUS card, we offer a service for you to obtain your card by post. 

Please follow the instructions below.

1. Register online with www.upsu.com 

2. If you wish to get an NUS EXTRA card (discount card) then you will need to pay £11 on the www.nus.org.uk website. Remember to select The University of Plymouth from the menu.

3. Wait for an email telling you your card has been delivered to Plymouth

4. Email info@upsu.com with your address (please don't do this until the card has been delivered to Plymouth)

5. We'll post the card out to you.

PLEASE NOTE: We accept no liability for cards lost in the post. We'll send them out in good faith via the Royal Mail. If they get lost in the post you will need to buy another card - a replacement costs £4. The only way we can guarantee cards is via collection at Plymouth SU. Having said all that fortunately a lost card is very rare but please bear all this in mind when asking for cards to be forwarded to your home address.
