► Anti-Racism

Anti-Racism, Anti-Fascism and Multi-Culturalism
We are proud to promote a diverse campus, where all students are respected and treated equally regardless of race, religious beliefs, socio-economic background, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability.
Therefore we have an active campaign to increase awareness to bust the myths that create discrimination and to campaign with the NUS against groups like the BNP, that attempt to gain support by whipping up discrimination against minority groups.
In the last elections the BNP stood 13 candidates in Devon, including 2 in Plymouth. Where elected in other parts of the country, incidents of racist and homophobic violence are seen to considerably increase.
We need a broad campaign against racism and against fascist groups, on a national, local and campus level, to defend our diversity and ensure a safe environment for all our students and a society free from discrimination.
