► RAG

RAG (Raising & Giving) is the umbrella term for all student fundraising that UPSU does.

Do something epic with your time at Plymouth University

...apply to be one of RAG’s Adventure Leaders 2013/14!

RAG is looking for enthusiastic students to lead a team of student fundraisers on an adventure of a lifetime, whilst making some serious dolla for charity.

Go to http ://studentadventures . co . uk/adventure_leaders/apply to apply

Why be an adventure leader?

- You gain a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification (employers highly regard CIM qualifications, not like having a Duke of Edinburgh award!) this is a serious perk.

- Obviously leading a team of students shows extensive leadership and management skills that not many students your age will have the opportunity to gain, really setting you apart from the crowd CV wise.

- You’ll be responsible for raising £53,000 for charity – think of the impact you would have on so many lives, something to be really proud of.

- Up to 80% off your fundraising target (if you get a full team of 20) ... not bad

What you have to do

- It’s a voluntary position for 1 year

- Recruitment phase in September/October, responsible for getting as many people attending the information meeting as possible and converting those to registrations.

- Fundraising support phase, you have a reduced target because you are supposed to be organising events to help your team hit their targets and have bi-weekly meetings & socials for team bonding.

- On the adventure you are the main contact between student adventures and your team (don’t worry you don’t do the leading up the mountain yourself).

- Working closely with RAG and your charity to keep us in the loop of your progress.

There will be staff support from UPSU all year round, also you get to go on the adventure leader training weekend, which is an experience in itself.
