I enjoy being in a place where everyone is treated equally, without racism or discrimination. I also enjoy learning about other cultures, to know more about the different parts of the world and would like to share that knowledge. Hence the reason I’m running for Racial & Ethnic Campaigns Chair.
I was previously the President of the Afro-Caribbean society (ACS: 2011-2012). During my time as President I aimed to promote racial integration between people of various backgrounds, and most of the events we had together as a society proved to be successful in allowing people of multiple backgrounds to mingle with one another, having fun and not discriminating each other.
I aim to allow students to have the same enjoyment the people at the ACS had when they were making friends with people of different races and ethnicities. I will therefore do my best to ensure the Uni continues to maintain an environment that promotes racial integration between the students of Plymouth University.
If you share my views and would like a place where people of all races feel comfortable with one another, then please lend me your vote. =]
