The Summer Ball
PIAsoc
The Politics and International Relations society (PIAsoc) was dreamt up in 2006 by Patric Holdon, a lecturer in International relations who was keen for students to be more social and to take the course a little further, and the idea quickly formed, and we became a society in October last year.
The society is run for students by students. It is primarily for international relations students but anyone can join.
Over our first year as a society, we got together to hold film viewings, have guest speakers and have socials (sometimes with some of the lecturers), and next year we are planning on expanding on this, so watch this space. But more than anything, we are a great way to get to know other people in your course.
Come and find us at the freshers fayre on Wednesday the 26th (6-10) and Saturday the 29th (2-6) of September, joining is only £2
