The University of Plymouth Students' Union is run by students for students. What this means in reality is that there are 5 officers ("Sabbatical Officers") who undertake the day-to-day running of the Union on behalf of students. The officers are elected in February into full time, paid jobs with a term of office of one year.
The officers work under the direction of Student Parliament and on the basis of a manifesto on which they were elected. They will work closely with your course and faculty representatives to keep up-to-date with any academic issues you may face, raising these issues at high levels within the Univeristy.
If you have any questions for the officers, or want to find out more, they will be happy to talk to you. Remember, the officers are paid your money to represent you!
