The President is the Overall Co-ordinator of the Sabbatical team. He/she is a member of the University Board of Governors and chair of Union Executive Committee (the Sabbatical weekly meetings where the day to day decisions regarding the Union are made) Finance Committee and Staffing Committee. The President is often the first point of contact to the University and particularly within the community. The President is also responsible for Mature students. The President is the representative on environmental and ethnical matters as well as leading on democracy and ensuring internal accountability. The President is also responsible for setting the direction of the General Managers work and is responsible for ensuring the Finances of the Union are transparent and accessible to students. Prime accountability is to the Union Executive Committee.

Each sabbatical officer is linked to one of the faculties in the University, to raise any issues and represent students. This year Seena is the sabbatical officer representing students in the Faculty of Art.
