Hello. My name is Chukwudi Kosi Ezenyi, an MSc student of Operations and supply chain management with Plymouth University. I will be vying for the post of the part-time welfare officer.
Having gone through my first degree, second degree and now masters degree in Plymouth University, I can well say I have an understanding of some challenges students face. One major reason I seek for this office is to make students understand that they are not alone here. A lot of students suffer ignorantly because they think they are alone, not knowing that there are solutions and people they could speak to especially through the student union.
My goals are as follows:
Help students who are facing academic or personal challenges.
Enlighten students on supports they can get from the university in achieving their academic or personal goals
Help new students and others struggling to easily integrate into the university community.
I intend achieving most of these by creating a platform where students can get closer to the student union officers and make them understand that the SU is there for them at anytime. I also intend to create activities in order for students to meet other students they do not know and socialise while making them understand the importance of being each one’s keeper.
With these few enlisted ideas and many others I have at heart, I would like to be voted for as the part-time welfare officer. Together, we move students’ welfare forward.
