What motivated you to run for a full-time representative role

I ran for the President because I believe in the power of connection and collaboration. With my experience, I’ve developed the leadership skills necessary to represent our student body. I am passionate about creating opportunities for all of us to thrive, particularly by increasing awareness of *The Bridge*—an organization that connects people, ideas, and resources within our faculty. As President, I’ll work to ensure that every student has the chance to grow, connect, and succeed.

Why do you think you would be a good President?

I believe my experience and skills make me the right leader for our student body. I’ve served as Vice President of the Student Union at Government Aizawl West College and as an Executive Committee Member at Mizo Zirlai Pawl, the largest student association in Mizoram. I also received a Special Mention at the International Model United Nations for my work on Zero Poverty, Zero Hunger, where I honed my communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Mastermind, Calculative, Reliabile

If you could change one thing in your Faculty what would that be?

I want to highlight an organization on campus that can make a huge difference in our student experience: The Bridge. It's an organization within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Business aimed at connecting people, ideas, and resources. Many students aren't aware of what The Bridge has to offer, but I believe it’s a powerful tool to help us collaborate, share ideas, and access the resources we need to succeed.

Why did you chose to study at the University of Plymouth

I chose to study at the University of Plymouth because of its strong commitment to sustainability, a key focus for the future of our world. As a top contributor in this area, the university is leading the way in shaping a more sustainable future. Additionally, with its TEF Gold award, it’s clear that Plymouth is recognized for providing high-quality education, making it one of the best choices for students who want to make a real impact.

What is your favourite thing about Plymouth?

My favorite thing about Plymouth is The Hoe Park. I’ve always loved watching the sea—it has a calming effect on me. The Hoe is a special place where I can enjoy stunning views of the sunset, the moon, and the sunrise. It’s my peaceful escape, a place that feels like apricity—a warm embrace on a cold day.
