International Women’s Day is a global day which celebrates the incredible achievements of women all over the world and is a focal point in the women’s rights movement. It is also a day which gives focus to issues such as gender equality which are still present.
To mark this day, Jiu Jitsu are hosting a Give It A Go (GIAG) session for students who identify as female to come and try out a new sport, socialise, have fun, and learn some beginner self-defence moves!
Learning self-defence has many benefits which can support your confidence, awareness, and physically health, whilst allowing you to feel you could look after your safety, or the safety of someone else, if you were ever in a position to need to.
This session is aimed at students who present or identify as female or gender non conforming. However please note that male club members will be present.
This session is also led by a male Sensei (TJJF qualifed)
