Supporting the wellbeing of all the students that are studying with the University of Plymouth.

Working together to create a supportive environment that addresses students’ academic, social, and personal needs. Representing student voices in decision-making processes, ensuring that decisions reflect students’ priorities and concerns. The Students’ Union provides a holistic support structure which leads to enhanced student satisfaction, academic success, and overall well-being, preparing them for future professionally and personally.

Without the SU, I probably would have dropped out in the first year.

Communities
The 170 groups that are supported by the Students’ Union are key communities to almost 8,000 students. They help create a sense of belonging and provide students with connections, opportunities and friendships to enhance their time at university. These communities embrace diversity, integrate into student life and help address isolation and loneliness.

Working to put money back into students' pockets to help them navigate the rising cost of university life. Through initiatives like our vegetable co-operative scheme and Community Larder, we've provided essential support to those in need, distributing discounted veg boxes and offering free hygiene products. Saving students over £154,000 through SU Advice and paid out over £300,000 to student staff, helping many of them afford their education and living expenses.
