Purpose of Post:
- To enable, support and administer good governance and compliance.
- To support the HR Manager in delivering the People and Culture plan, ensuring efficient and effective administrative support is provided.
- To provide administrative support to the Chief Executive.
- Administer projects as directed by the CEO and/or HR Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the coordination of and preparation for Board and committee meetings and related activities including associated administrative and logistical support for non-executive directors.
- Assist with all recruitment, onboarding and training activities associated with Board members.
- Support Board and committee meetings, by providing information and minute-taking, and support with follow-up on actions and forward-agenda items.
- Support the Chief Executive with completing both Charity Commission and Companies House reporting requirements and maintaining statutory records.
- Update and maintain resources needed to help deliver an effective governance framework and implementation of the Board Development Plan.
- Assist with internal and external governance activities, to ensure that the Students’ Union remains compliant with its legislative and regulatory obligations and governance best practice.
- Support the implementation of the People and Culture action plan.
- Provide HR administrative support including recruitment, onboarding, training, absences, and all HR processes.
- Maintain an organised filing system of electronic documents in relation to all aspects of charity governance, compliance, and HR.
- Support the management of the Chief Executive’s calendar.
- Arrange and manage travel and accommodation for the Chief Executive, the Board and the Senior Leadership Team when required.
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality at all times.

Role information:
- Permanent, part-time role (FTE 0.8, 1332 hours per year)
- Pay Scale: Grade 3, starting at £21,756 per annum (actual salary)
Timescale:
