Members of the University of Plymouth Badminton Club, and coach, Rob Freer, share their pride for members who have competed in this years' BUCS league...

I am so immensely proud of all the players who secured our victory in the BUCS league this year. They stepped up to huge challenges and countless times proved themselves to be the strongest among the teams. The atmosphere was always fantastic at each game, and I speak for all when I say the team thoroughly enjoyed the success they earned throughout the 2023/2024 season. - Matt Scaife (BUCS Capt 23/24)

"Their win is a fine achievement provided for a much-deserved promotion to Division 1, allowing the team to play more challenging Universities. This was echoed with the players taking part in the student nationals in Sheffield, during which they beat several opponents during the competition.

The player's success has been noticed at county level with 2 players present in the Devon county U21 team who won the Nationals in York at Easter and currently we have 4 players in the senior county teams. 

As a coach, I am really impressed with the attitude and commitment of the players, and I have noticed much improvement in the last two years." - Rob Freer (BUCS Coach)
