My primary focus over the past few months has been engaging Course Representatives. I have been able to work with various representatives in different programmes to help them with most of their concerns. To help strengthen communication between myself and the Course Reps, I set up a WhatsApp group to facilitate communication and most of the time I call to talk with the rep if they have anything they would like to share with me.
The most significant issue I am currently working on at the moment is timetabling and the bunching of assignment deadlines. I have brought up these concerns in our numerous meetings, both at the Faculty level and the STLQC, and the management responsible has addressed them.
We also talked about how to plan welcome-back parties for PBS students following the Christmas break.
I now have a Deputy School Rep - Felix (felix.checkersfield@students.plymouth.ac.uk) who, as an undergraduate can help to bridge the gap between undergraduate and postgraduate feedback in the Plymouth Business School. Please contact him if you are a PBS undergraduate and would like to provide some feedback to him.
