From the 21st of December 2024 to the 27th of February 2025, Canoe Club members walked a whopping 10,000km to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)!

Members achieved their walking targets in their own time, with distances logged using a fitness app which was then verified through the Canoe Club President.

"The RNLI regularly goes out and rescues kayakers, and therefore, we felt it was only right to support them in continuing to do this!

As a club, we set a target to raise £500 for the RNLI by logging distances by walking, running, and kayaking."

Through our efforts, we were able to raise £574 for the RNLI!!

"The hikes completed by the club allowed us to feel like more of a team as we were all working together towards a common goal. Some days, achieving higher distances was harder than others, but we kept motivated by supporting each other. Out of our 61 members, 26 people actively participated in the challenge, and many more supported with getting donations."
