The International Students Plymouth (ISP) Society welcomed the Lunar New Year in style with a celebration on Tuesday 28th January the SU Big Room. The event was hosted to bring students together, spread joy, and share in the excitement of Chinese New Year.
The event was packed with fun and traditional activities. Attendees got to experience live calligraphy demonstrations, hear captivating traditional stories, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere filled with red lanterns and couplets symbolising good fortune and prosperity.
“It was amazing to see students from all backgrounds come together and experience Chinese culture firsthand. Bringing a bit of home to international students while also introducing these traditions to others is something really special.”
- Joseph De Zoysa (Chair, International Students Plymouth Society)
