Members of the Women's Team and Men's 1st & 2nd Team from the University of Plymouth Shooting Club (Clay Pigeon Shooting) travelled to Treetops Sporting Shots, Newport, for the annual Cardiff University Shooting Challenge last weekend. Student Group members filled us in with the team's success...

"On Saturday 25th November, three teams were sent up to compete in Cardiff University's annual shooting challenge. Competing in a 50 Bird Sporting with a 100 Bird Flush, 28 teams from 10 different universities attended.

Our Men's 1st & 2nd teams came 9th & 10th but as always, the ladies showing us how it's done by taking 2nd.

Huge congratulations to Katrina Stephens for achieving 1st in Ladies Individual!!

Big round of applause to all those who represented Plymouth over the weekend, some really good shooting from everyone. The success was then celebrated at the Masquerade Ball in the evening where everyone enjoyed dressing up and showing off their masks.

Let's hope we can carry this success forward to BUCS!"
