Give It A Go (GIAG) is a weekly timetable of low-cost activities and events which predominantly take place either on the University of Plymouth campus, at the Plymouth Life Centre, or the surrounding areas.

Activities include plenty of sports, such as basketball, volleyball, football, as well yoga, badminton, and climbing sessions!

These activities welcome both students who have experience playing these sports and those who just fancy trying something new and giving it a go! All equipment is provided and there is no commitment to attend sessions or sign up to anything. The Give It A Go programme is open to all students and staff of the University of Plymouth.

GIAG sports are intended to be fun and informal, whilst also allowing students to develop skills and progress in sports they enjoy! It is a great way to meet like-minded individuals, develop friendships, and of course get some exercise in during the week!

Special, one-off trips!

As well as sports sessions, in the last year, the GIAG team has worked hard to introduced more special events like day trips, workshops and a host of other activities either in Plymouth or its surrounding areas to enable students to explore new places, visit local attractions and enjoy thrilling experiences whilst making new friends.

Students have already enjoyed many one-off events, such as trips to Paignton Zoo, The Eden Project, Theatre Royal, Plymouth Gin Distillery as well as water sports at Mount Batten, including paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing!
