Each year at UPSU, we like to recognise our sports clubs and societies via the Icons Recognition programme. The clubs and societies that are awarded Icons have gone above beyond with commitment, opportunities and experience for their members.
Bronze Icons
For a club or society to achieve Bronze Icons they must have achieved one objective from their Development Plan, volunteered as a club/society, raised £100 for charity, regularly attended training sessions and maintained regular contact with UPSU.
Silver
Silver Icons is awarded to a club or society who have achieved all the criteria for Bronze Icons, raised over £1000 for charity or hosted two or more charity events, volunteered as a club or society for 20+ hours and provided regular updates to the UPSU team and beginner/introduction events to their group’s activities.
Gold
Those clubs or societies who have achieved Gold Icons have gone above and beyond and are awarded the highest standard of Icons. These groups will have achieved all requirements for Bronze and Silver Icons, achieved two objectives from their Development Plan, raised over £2000 for charity or hosted more than three charity events throughout the year and volunteered 40+ hours of their time to make a significant contribution within the community.
