Important update: Accommodation provider deadlines

If you have left your student accommodation due to the COVID-19 outbreak there are some student accommodation providers who are offering to release students from their contracts for the third term. You will need to contact those providers by the deadlines set below.

Capitol/Host Properties:

Alexandra Works, Central Point, Discovery Heights, St Thomas Court.

Any residents who have left and do not plan on coming back must inform Capitol of their desire to cancel by Friday 10th April 2020.

Host have provided the following update regarding Frobisher House and The Old Dairy:

"While we understand that you must make the right decision for your health and wellbeing, and that of your family, we regret that we cannot terminate your contract early if you have decided to leave your accommodation."
 



University of Plymouth Halls:

Francis Drake, Gilwell, Mary Newman, Pilgrim, Robbins, Radnor, Treliske*.

You must provide evidence that you are not living in halls by 8th April 2020.

You can confirm this via the accommodation portal here. The University will also refund fees if you had left your accommodation early, again this must be proven by Wednesday 8th April 2020 via the accommodation portal.

*Students living at Treliske must notify halls by emailing: Treliske@sanctuary-students.com
 



Beckley Point:

On a case-by-case basis your final instalment may be negotiated. If you feel you are unable to pay your rent due to personal circumstance then you are required to complete two forms by Friday 10th April 2020.

Unite Halls:

If you have left halls and don't plan on returning, you must inform Unite by 5pm Friday 10th April by emailing cancellations@unitestudents.com and you will not need to pay your final instalment of rent. 
 



iQ Student Accommodation:

Astor House

For students who will not be staying for the summer term and pay their rent directly to iQ, iQ have confirmed that provided you let them know by 5pm on Thursday, 9th April 2020 by following this link and completing the check-out process, you won't be charged for the remainder of your current tenancy, effective from the 18th April 2020.
 



CRM Students:

Mary Parker House

All tenants at Mary Parker House were emailed on Friday 3rd April 2020 advising them that if they have left and informed CRM of this by 5pm Thursday 9th April their final rent instalment will be waived. If you are in Mary Parker House and haven't let them know, email them at maryparkerhouse@crm-students.com
