The next few weeks will see publication of confirmed results for some students.
Dates will vary depending on your programme, so if you believe your results should publish, but are unsure of when, you can check here.
Hopefully you receive the results you are expecting, but what happens if not?
All students have the right to submit an academic appeal. You will have 10 working days from publication of results in which to do this, so it’s important that you act promptly!
You can read the SU Advice appeals guidance here.
If you wish to appeal, SU Advice can help.
What can we do:
- Guide you through the academic grounds for appeals
- Talk to you about the process and procedure
- Read drafts of appeals and offer suggestions
- Offer guidance when an outcome is received
What we can’t do:
- Give you a reason to appeal
- Write your appeal for/with you
- Tell you what the outcome will be
- Expedite your appeal
A few key things to bear in mind:
- If unsure why you have been marked a certain way, ask for additional feedback
- You can’t appeal simply because you disagree with your results
- An upheld appeal will not ordinarily result in a remark
- Problems with programme delivery will fall under complaints, not appeals

If you want further guidance on appeals, please get in touch with SU advice as soon as you receive your published results. The best way to contact us is via our online enquiry form, attaching a copy of your transcript.
