On Friday 6th December 2024, the University of Plymouth Pole Dance Club held thier Winter Showcase 2024 in the SU Big Room to give new and returning members a chance to showcase their progress and skills in a safe and supportive environment and to raise money for charity.

The show consisted of beginner, intermediate, advanced and doubles performances, as well as guest performances from professional, elite level pole dancers. Routines varied from contemporary, creepy themes, and sexy flow, providing a wide range of performances to enjoy.
The night also included sneak peaks of the UPPDCs competition soloists’ routines as they prepared for the South West Pole Varsity in February.
The club raised £144 for Devon Mind through ticket sales for the event!
Devon Minds was selected by the club as a local organisation with goals aligning with the clubs’ values of promoting good mental health.
The UPPDC Winter Showcase was epic as always. It’s so wonderful to be involved with such an inclusive group of people. I’ve been performing in these showcases since the club’s inception in 2006 and each year I’m blown away by the standard of performers and the diversity of their routines. I love getting involved in the club showcases every year. They provide a great opportunity to members to push themselves and show their progress. The club and our audience are always so supportive. Seeing both new and returning members walk off stage with big smiles on their faces and an increased sense of pride is so rewarding to see as a committee member.
