After a successful meeting about the Christmas Foodbank Collection the SU to will be holding collections between Monday 2nd and Friday 13th December 2019 in the SU. During this time we will be accepting donations at the SU Reception or the SU Volunteering Office in the Hive at the Students' Union building. We also plan to run daily collection points across campus from 12-2pm.
Food banks provide the emergency food to people locked into poverty. They we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. There are over 1,200 food bank centres in the network nationally. The services provided by food banks may vary from area to area as they react to the needs of their community to provide help and support to local people in crisis.
