"Our committee worked tirelessly to ensure the weekend was well-organised, with every detail carefully planned for a smooth and successful event. Special thanks to the society’s competition captains who not only competed but also made sure that everyone was where they needed to be, helping to maintain structure throughout the weekend.
The event also proved to be a great opportunity for the team to bond, build new friendships, and strengthen team spirit. It was fantastic to see everyone cheering each other on during races, and later coming together for meals, enjoying each other's company away from the pool.
The swimmers showed incredible performances, with personal bests, fast heats, finals, and also medalling! A big shoutout to Ruby Varney, Eja Coe, Amelia Badnell, Zoe Cawsey, Beatrice Varley, the Women’s A team freestyle relay and the Women’s A team medley relay for making it into the fast heats, representing our university. Notably, Zoe Cawsey and Beatrice Varley also earned spots in the A finals—an outstanding achievement!
This year, we also entered relay teams, with our female medley A team finishing first in the C final—an excellent result. Finally, a massive congratulations to Beatrice Varley for earning a bronze medal in her 400IM, a remarkable individual achievement."
Overall, it was a memorable and successful weekend that showcased both individual talent and the incredible spirit of the UPSSWPC team.
