On the 13th of February, Waterfront Running hosted a 'Stupid Cupid Bingo Night' in the SU as an opportunity to get many members of the club together and socialise whilst also raising money for a local charity.
Members shared an overview of the successful evening...
"Our Stupid Cupid Bingo Night was an evening filled with laughter, friendly competition and fundraising for an important cause.
Organised by committee members Sam Bennett (Secretary), Liv Phillips and Lizzy Fulford (Social Secretaries), and Rachel Thacker (Fundraising Officer), the event aimed to bring members together while supporting Devon Mind, a charity dedicated to mental health services in the local community.
The night was a fantastic success, with plenty of light-hearted moments, unexpected forfeits, and enthusiastic participation. Whether attendees were there for the bingo, the atmosphere, or simply to enjoy an alternative Valentine’s celebration, everyone contributed to a lively and enjoyable evening.
Thanks to the generosity and support of those who attended, we raised an incredible £140 for Mind Devon.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, we look forward to more events like this in the future!"
