University Mental Health Day is on the 14th March 2024.

University Mental Health Day brings together the university community to make mental health a university-wide priority and create ongoing year round change to the future of student and staff mental health.

Join the University and your Students' Union as we inspire conversations, take action and create change!

By taking part, you are helping raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health and encouraging others to do the same. There are a variety of activities to suit everyone and all events are free!

What's on?

Come and use the SU Gym for free all day!

We all know the benefits of exercise when it comes to mental health, which is why for University Mental Health Day, we are giving students the opportunity to use the gym for free! If you already have a gym membership with us, why not bring along a friend who doesn't and introduce them to the benefits of a SU Gym membership! Find out more about the SU Gym here.

11:00–12:00 (in person) and 15:00–16:00 (online) | Stress reduction and mindfulness workshop

This workshop is designed to empower you with practical tools and insights that promote mental clarity, emotional balance and overall resilience. By tapping into the power of mindfulness, you'll discover how to effectively manage stress while enhancing your focus at work or in daily life. We are passionate about helping you thrive in your personal, academic and professional journeys. Don't miss this opportunity to prioritise your mental wellbeing as we cultivate a community of support and growth together.
