These are the aims of Peninsula Emergency Medicine Society
Run High Yield Teaching and Clinical Skills Workshops: We are committed to providing a series of high yield teaching sessions for both preclinical and clinical students, alongside clinical skills workshops designed to help students prepare for mid-year assessments and ISCEs.
Broaden EM Perspectives through Collaborations: We aim to expand our understanding of Emergency Medicine by collaborating with both local and international organisations, such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and the David Nott Foundation. These partnerships will provide valuable insights into Humanitarian Emergency Medicine and feature inspiring stories from those who prioritise saving lives above all.
Promote Inclusivity and Support Aspiring EM Professionals: Our society welcomes students from all backgrounds, with a special focus on encouraging and supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our aim is to foster a supportive environment for future Emergency Medicine doctors throughout their journey in medical school.
