The Socialist Student Society is a society which aims to educate students on the ideas of socialism through reading and discussion while campaigning on various issues.

Membership to Socialist Students is FREE!

Socialist Students regularly meet up to:

• Hold reading/discussion groups based on the works of Marx, Lenin, Trotsky as well as contemporary Socialist theoreticians which will not only educate on the ideas of socialism but will also help those who study on history, politics or sociology courses.

• Campaign on issues such as the scrapping of student fees, campaigning against racism and sexism, calling for better pay and conditions for students and all manner of issues relating to student life

• Organise political debates to stimulate broader discussion and invite external speakers in to build links with the local communities

• Making use of the university facilities to show films

• Hold regular socials to bring together students from different courses/backgrounds
