Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Occult Society!
My name is Radu Tomoiala, an aspiring ritual/ceremonial magician.
I am 20 years old and a 2nd year psychology student.
I established this society to create a safe space for those interested in the occult can have a place to converse, share ideas and hopefully, practice together.
It goes without saying that everyone is welcome in this society, no matter who you are, where you are from or what views you may/may not have on the metaphysical, or philosophical.
The word ‘occult’ simply means ‘hidden’ or ‘secret,’ it does not mean evil, satanic or dark.
The occult encompasses mystical and esoteric spiritual traditions distinct from exoteric organized religion.
Occult traditions or paths include Wicca, Odinism, Magick, Astrology, Chaos Magick, Alchemy, Divination, and many more.
My occult practice is called Magick, and it is predominantly practiced in the West.
Magick is primarily divided into three categories:
White Magick is the science and art of causing change to occur in accordance with will, using means not currently understood by Western science, for the purpose of connecting to the Divine Consciousness.
Grey Magick follows the same definition as White Magick, except it is for the purpose of causing good to yourself or others. (Manifestation falls under this category for example.)
Black Magick again follows the same definition, but it is for the purpose of causing harm to yourself or others.
(Neither I nor this society will be involved with Black Magick.)
Interest in the occult is growing in today’s age as occult material is increasingly easier to access through mediums like the internet, and thanks to the weakening stigma around the occult. If you wish to practice and study the occult, now is a perfect time!
I should say that the best way to learn a magickal or occult path is by combining practice with study.
Take knowledge from our society and other sources, and implement it in your practice.
Some stuff may work for you, some may not. The occult is unique for everyone. Experiment and share your results with the rest of us!
