Who are we? 

The UPSU Scuba Society is the go-to community for Plymouth University students passionate about scuba diving! Whether you’re an experienced diver or brand new to the sport, everyone is welcome to join our vibrant society.

Founded in 2014, we’ve grown from a small group to one of the largest and most recognized societies on campus, boasting over 175 members each year. In our first year, we were shortlisted for Best New Society, and since then, we’ve earned accolades like Society of the Year, Give It a Go Champions, and Gold ICONS. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited about where we’re headed!

Our society works closely with Indeep, our affiliated dive centre, to ensure we offer the best diving experiences possible. Some of our members even assist and work at Indeep, so you can trust that we’re dedicated to providing top-notch diving opportunities. As a Scuba Society member, you’ll enjoy discounted diving and courses through Indeep. Plus, if you’re interested in pursuing the HSE Professional Scuba Course (HSE P4) with the University, we offer tailored prerequisite packages to fit your needs.

Membership is just £10 and gives you access to all our social events, trips, and activities, along with eligibility for diving and training discounts. For an additional £75, our equipment hire membership provides 12 months of FREE gear rental from Indeep (excluding drysuit hire) whenever you dive with the society.
