As a member of the SU, you have access to a range of different spaces focussed on you, from study spaces & communal areas to our bar & gym. We are commited to providing you the best spaces to compliment your studies.
Located in the heart of campus, the SU is home to our services:
The Lounge & the Little Room are informal community spaces inside the heart of the SU where you can relax, study, or catch up with your student group or friends.
Located at the South Entrance, the Hive is your central hub for student information. Inside the Hive you'll find your Sabbatical Officers as well as the Representation, Sport Clubs, Societies and Volunteering teams. This is also a place where you can study or catch up with friends.
By day, the main room is a place with plenty of tables to chill out, by evening it becomes the entertainment hotspot. And Friday annd Saturday nights, it turns into the iconic SU nightclub.
Your SU Bar offers a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, at value for money prices.
We are proud to be a part of Best Bar None. This is a accreditation scheme with National Awards supported by the Home Office and the drinks industry which is aimed primarily at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises. We are rated NUS Best Bar None Gold and Best Bar None Plymouth.
Your handy little campus shop is located right in the centre of campus, directly opposite the library, and offers you everything you need from a quick (but delicious) lunch on the go to clothing, accessories and household products. Your SU Shop gives you value for money products and are the only retailer of official University of Plymouth merchandise. You can also shop online where we offer collection and delivery.
The SU Gym located on campus provides a range of activities to assist you in achieving your fitness goals. From the 50 station gym, squash courts, multi- purpose sports hall, dance studio and the sports injuries clinic, the team can offer a host of facilities which can be utilised by students, staff and members of the public.
