The University of Plymouth Shooting Club welcomes new members whether they've shot before or not. We shoot every Wednesday during university sports afternoons with fantastic social events in the evenings and competitions at weekends. The club's ethos is very much family-based – everybody knows each other and that’s just the way we want it to be. Come and have a chat with us at the Freshers Fair this year or get in contact with any questions you might have.

Socials

From the start of term everyone is encouraged to get involved with weekly socials, generally held after Wednesday shoots. Regular socials involve bar crawls, themed events and bowling nights. We hold club tie events throughout the year such as the Christmas meal and an end of year presentation evening. 

Memberships

This membership is for those of you who would like to join us for all aspects of the club, from our weekly training shoots, to weekend competitions, and the annual BUCS competition, as well as weekly socials too. This membership also allows you to have access to our free gun storage if required, alongside all social aspects of the club.

Events

Training sessions are held regularly, kick-started by a low-cost taster session for new members. In the following weeks, training is offered to give everybody some experience with firearms handling and safety as part of our commitment to safety within the sport. Experienced shots will run this, and all equipment is provided.

Competitions such as BUCS, Bristol and Intraclub are evenly spaced throughout the year, and all members will have the opportunity to enter these.
