Who are we?
University of Plymouth Women's Rugby Football Club is a student-run rugby union team, competing in BUCS matches in our division throughout the West and South-West League 2. We encourage players of all abilities to partake in competitive or friendly women's rugby and join us on weekly socials. We offer the opportunity to learn/ develop new skills, work on your personal fitness and teamwork skills whilst getting to meet and be part of a great team of girls on and off the pitch!
We train weekly on Monday evenings at Ivybridge RFC 7-9pm and play our BUCS matches on Wednesdays with a great weekly social after our matches.
Please feel free to contact us on social media, via email or come and see us at our Freshers Fair stand to say hi!

Socials
We have weekly socials on Wednesday nights that are hosted by our two brilliant Social Secs! The theme changes each week and we visit numerous different bars, pubs and clubs. Socials are a great way for the team to bond and spend time together off the pitch! We also host ‘sober socials’ which allow the girls to hang out between matches and socail events in a friendly envrionment, Sober socails include things like Bowling, Beach days, movie nights and Pub quizes.
Events
We host multiple fundraising events throughout the year, organised by our wonderful Fundraising Sec, to raise money and awareness for our chosen charities.
We currently have one team that competes in the BUCS Western 2A league throughout the year. Our games are on Wednesday afternoons followed by our socials on Wednesday nights. At the end of our BUCS season this year we are hosting what is arguably the most important event of the year: VARSITY! 22 selected players compete against our local rivals, University of St Mark and St John (AKA MARJON). After the last seasons Varsity match we have only seen our girls improve on the pitch and we are excited to progress further and beat MARJON in the next season!
If you are intrested in Joining us please come to see us at the SU sports fair on the 18th of September!
