The first step is to look at which Networks you’d like to be involved with.

Click on each page below, see which you’re interested in, and click the ‘sign up’ button – there’s no limit to the number of Networks that you can sign up to, and it’s free!

By joining the Network, you can be as involved as you like, whether that it is purely receiving the newsletters, to participating in the group chats, attending Network Catch Ups, or even advocating for change in-person!

It’s you, the members, who will decide how frequently you’d like to meet, what topics you’d like to talk about, and use this as a safe space to share any feedback you have related to your shared demographics.

Although there will be elected Network Chairs, it is all Network members who work together to represent the best interests of students.

A huge impact! You can collaborate with professional services at the Uni such as the Sustainability Team, the Student Hub, and more!

Whilst Networks also may have a socialising element, the purpose of Networks is to support the representation of students from underrepresented groups. They are a vehicle for students to come together as a collective to share feedback, and collaborate with the SU and university to improve the experience of students.

Each Sabbatical Officer will also have Networks that they help to support, meaning that any relevant feedback that you have can be taken up to high level meetings such as those with Associate Heads and Deans of the Faculty, and even the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience).
